In the trial room

This photo was clicked in a trial room of a garment shop. Adi found the trial room very fascinating and entertaining with mirrors on all four sides. He refused to come out and stood there for a long time admiring himself from all angles on all sides!

Relaxing

While Ruban and myself were busy buying something in Justborn, Adi found himself a great place to relax and have fun!!

A disceptation that ended in an ardent hug!

Dad: Come on, listen to me.
Son: You first listen to me! I am right!

A perfect mixture

Isn't he a perfect blend of Ruban and Padma?

The stylish look

He loves wearing sunglasses. He is very good at breaking them too! Every now and then he breaks the old one and asks his dad to get a new one. We have almost got him three to four new sunglasses in the past one year. He wears a glass and a cap to school everyday in the morning. When asked why, he says he wears the glass to protect his eyes from the dust.

This is how I look when I cry

He has become very adamant these days. If we do not pay heed to any of his requests, he starts crying immediately (at times without tears as in the picture!) and makes sure that his request is fulfilled.

Am feeling sleepy!

He somehow manages to fight sleep and keeps himself awake until we both come back from office at 10.30 PM. How much ever you persuade him to sleep all your attempts will fail! Once we come back home, he plays with us for sometime and then goes to sleep at around 11.30 PM.

Mummy, I am grown up!

Am I not big enough to go to office like Daddy?

Children's day celebrations at office

This photo was clicked during the Children's day celebration in our office, in Nov 2008. There was a game for all children aged between 3 and 5. They were supposed to blow the popcorn (without touching it) from one end and reach the other end. He had just turned 3 at that time and I was sure that he would not have understood the instructions that were given. When the game started all other children beside him started to blow the popcorn forward, but our little master was just sitting in this same position doing nothing! I tried explaining the rules of the game to him and by the time he started playing the others had already reached their destination and the game was over :)

At a friend's wedding reception

This snap was taken in one of my best friend's wedding reception. Adi likes her a lot and talks a lot about her. On the stage, at first sight, he couldn't recognise her with all make-up on. He refused to believe that this is his favourite 'Vidya Aunty' and told me 'Amma, this is not Vidya Aunty' and walked down.
Later we went to the stage again to greet the couple. He found this small stool from one corner, dragged it in the middle and sat on it next to Vidya. He refused to get up from the stool and posed for all our snaps sitting on it. But even now, am not sure if he eventually recognised that it was Vidya on the stage!

Sleeping time

I simply love this snap. He just enjoys being with his father. Look at the way he has nestled his head comfortably in his father's elbow.

At school

This is his school ground. While all other children rush back home after school, our little master heads straight to the ground. He runs, walks and plays in the ground until we drag him out.

Mummy am tired. Give me a hand!

Where do I go next?

The astonishing looks

We had been to Chennai sometime back. I was busy shopping. He didn't have much to do and so he was happily posing to Ruban's clicks.

An evolving prodigy

At times, I ask him casually ‘what do you want to be when you grow up?’ Almost every time he comes up with an answer saying that he wants to grow big and ride a helicopter or a rocket. It would be interesting to see how his preferences change over a period of time. I am sure he will come back with a variety of responses according to his varying interests.

His first mottai

He was 11 months old when we took him to Velankanni for his first mottai. Though it was on the first of October, the sun was scorching hot and poor Adi got tired by the end of the day.

This was clicked just a few minutes before the mottai. Happily dozing off in dad’s shoulders.

This was clicked immediately after the mottai.

And these snaps were clicked at home.

His driving interests

He enjoys riding his cycle and bike. Of course, given a chance, he will not hesitate to ride Ruban's bike/car. These photos were clicked in a toy shop when he refused to get up from the cycle.

As soon as Ruban got out, he took over the driver's seat and grabbed the steering in his hand. Look how contended he looks!

Daddy's pet??

He loves to wear his father's shirt. There he stands proudly in one of Ruban's shirts.

His passion

He loves riding his bike. He also sets few hurdles in his path (his toys) to make his ride more interesting.

And, he's a great mechanic too! Look at the way, he's repairing his bike with a screw driver.
